These can be used like personal portable white noise generators, perfect for misophones. The major plus compared to earbuds or headphones is that they leave your ear canal open so that you can have conversations with others. Con is the solid non-adjustable shape of the band connecting the two earpieces, for those with small heads, it sticks out. They are also hard to wear with eyeglasses on, as there is not enough room for the sides of the eyeglasses to pass underneath the loops. I still find them helpful!!
